The Surgical Recovery unit is a 32-bed facility dedicated to the care of patients post-surgery. Our team manages a variety of surgical cases, including but not limited to thoracotomy, colon surgery, mastectomy, and bariatric procedures. This dynamic environment offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement, including IV therapy, catheter management, patient education, and critical assessment.

ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Nurse Specialist will:
- Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and standards.
- Develop and oversee patient care plans, monitoring and documenting patient progress.
- Act as the primary liaison among various healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing directives effectively.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current BLS certification required within one month of hire.
- Active Registered Nurse license from the appropriate state board required prior to employment.
Education:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure at the time of hire.
