About the Position

We are seeking an experienced General Cardiologist to join our team at VCU Health, a world-renowned heart center in the United States. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide expert care to patients, teach and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals, and contribute to cutting-edge research in cardiovascular medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Education: Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in departmental conferences and present case reviews to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Research and Innovation: Collaborate with our research team to develop and implement clinical trials and studies that advance the field of cardiovascular medicine.
  • Service and Quality: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental and hospital-wide committees to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Clinical Practice: Provide expert care to patients in our outpatient and inpatient settings, including consultative services and shared call responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology with demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular disease.
  • Strong clinical, research, and teaching skills, with a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Virginia.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a diverse healthcare environment and a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and respect.
