Job Summary and Qualifications
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and policies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
  • Evaluating and planning patient care based on individual needs.
  • Administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Participating in treatment team meetings to adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Leading group therapy sessions and implementing nursing care plans.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN or Associate Degree).
  • A current RN license in Virginia or a compact license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Recent experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Behavioral Health.
