Job Summary and Qualifications
Our Intensive Care Unit is in search of a motivated and collaborative RN to join our outstanding team, ensuring that we consistently deliver high-quality and efficient care to all patients.
As a member of the ICU team, you will provide exceptional care for a diverse range of patients, including those with Pulmonary Cardiac issues, Heart Failure, COPD, Stroke, Ventilator Management, Continuous Dialysis, Hemodialysis, and Peritoneal Dialysis.
Your responsibilities will include managing the nursing care of critically ill patients in alignment with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
As part of the Intensive Care team, you will monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Some additional key responsibilities include:
- Providing respiratory and ventilator management.
- Documenting patient conditions using the Meditech computerized documentation system.
- Overseeing patient discharge planning needs.
- Offering support for new staff through mentoring and orientation.
- Nursing Graduate with RN Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Valid VA RN license or RN Compact State License.
- Previous experience in cardiac care or ICU preferred.
- Previous EKG interpretation experience preferred; must pass a basic rhythm test and BKAT examination.
- Critical Certification preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
