- Negotiate, supervise, and manage all IT maintenance, installation, procurement, and service contracts.
- Develop and oversee the annual capital and operational budgets for Information Technology.
- Lead and manage all IT projects from inception to completion.
- Design, implement, and conduct user support training for all IT systems.
- Stay informed about advancements in the IT sector through participation in professional organizations, continuous education, and awareness of emerging trends, research, and relevant legislation.
- Adhere to Board Policies and IT procedures.
- Participate in selected workshops, training sessions, or seminars aimed at enhancing technological competencies.
- Guarantee the stability and reliability of networks to facilitate educational and administrative operations.
- Install necessary patches, upgrades, and software on network servers and components.
- Diagnose and replace faulty equipment as needed to maintain network functionality with minimal disruption.
- Manage network user access to ensure secure connectivity to email, internet, and network resources, while assisting in staff training on application usage.
- Provide support for applications and operating systems, ensuring timely installation of upgrades and patches, compliance with licensing, and setup of web servers and web-based/server-based applications.
- Maintain and oversee network security through firewalls, content filtering, intrusion detection, virus protection, and monitoring tools.
- Administer network authentication and user privileges.
- Oversee the management of the network infrastructure.
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for network backup and disaster recovery.
- Assist in documenting the network, including inventory management and procedural documentation.
- Support network expansion by installing additional network drops, servers, and switches as required.
- Facilitate the procurement of software and new equipment by engaging with vendors and conducting sales interviews.
