Job Summary

The Department Manager - Residential Operations will oversee the daily activities of a department at one of our on-site children's residential facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring the operational performance of the department, including supervision of staff, time and attendance management, and contract compliance.

About the Role

This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide their team to achieve excellence in all aspects of their work. The successful candidate will have experience in managing teams, training, and adapting to diverse situations. They must be able to resolve unforeseen problems with little or no direction from manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to staff in the assigned department
  • Validate and approve timesheets for all assigned staff
  • Manage the daily activities, including administration, financial reports development, data collection, and ensuring/monitoring contract performance in the assigned department
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, state, and Federal regulations
  • Coordinate and implement internal and data reporting systems, financial controls, and management information systems for the department
  • Develop and implement systems to maintain records on employees, equipment inventories, and compliance activities
  • Coordinate the preparation of reports of disbursements, special analyses, and information reports for management; present recommendations for changes and/or improvements, monetary control, and adherence to budgets
  • Develop or assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the unit
  • Participate in development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develop and implement projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals
  • Establish a professional working relationship with onsite client representatives
  • Maintain supply, medical, and equipment inventory to agreed-upon standards

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A High School Diploma with 4 years of experience leading others
  • Experience training and leading others and adapting to diverse situations
  • The ability to resolve unforeseen problems with little or no direction from manager
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed
  • Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer, common office equipment, and MS Office products

Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
