Key Responsibilities:- Lead and coordinate Family and Consumer Sciences programs to enhance community knowledge and skills.
- Establish outreach initiatives aimed at promoting health and wellness, particularly targeting chronic disease management and nutrition for families and seniors.
- Provide essential training in food safety for food service providers and offer educational opportunities in nutrition and child development for childcare professionals.
- Assist individuals and families in maximizing their financial resources, including budgeting and planning for future needs.
- Deliver educational sessions to diverse audiences, ensuring accessibility and relevance to community needs.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evening and weekend commitments, as well as travel for community engagement activities. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for conducting official duties.
Qualifications:- A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Family and Consumer Sciences, Nutrition, Health, or related disciplines is required.
- A Bachelor's degree may suffice for provisional appointments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills for engaging with large groups.
- Ability to organize and implement programs for youth and collaborate with various stakeholders.
