Family and Consumer Sciences Agent

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family and Consumer Sciences Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering educational programs to families and individuals in the community, focusing on topics such as nutrition, food safety, parenting, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs for families and individuals, including workshops, classes, and one-on-one consultations.
- Collaborate with community partners to identify needs and develop programs that meet those needs.
- Provide training and technical assistance to community leaders and organizations on topics related to family and consumer sciences.
- Conduct outreach and education efforts to promote the importance of family and consumer sciences in the community.
- Masters degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Food and Nutrition, or related field.
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including low-income families and individuals.
- Knowledge of community-based programming and outreach strategies.
- Ability to speak to and teach large groups of residents.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and will be expected to travel throughout the service area.
