About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FACS Agent to join our team in Richmond County. As a key member of our Cooperative Extension team, you will play a vital role in providing research-based information and education to the people of Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective programs to address the needs of Richmond County residents, focusing on family and consumer sciences, community development, and youth education.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including community leaders, schools, and government agencies, to identify and address community needs.
  • Provide education and training to individuals and groups on topics such as food safety, nutrition, and parenting skills.
  • Conduct research and gather data to inform program development and evaluation.
  • Work closely with other Extension agents and specialists to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to addressing community needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a community development or extension setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong program development and evaluation skills, with the ability to design and implement effective programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
