About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including basic and specialized exams. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of our medical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including preparing and positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and operating imaging systems.
• Assist in the training of technologist students as assigned.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
• Maintain a high level of technical expertise and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Requirements

• A.R.D.M.S. certification and three years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Competent in performing a range of ultrasound exams, including NICU, vascular surgery, breast imaging, and more.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered RVT and knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, and procedures.
• A.R.D.M.S. certification in at least two specialties.
