Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Tech III to join our team at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac ultrasound and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
* Perform level I routine ultrasound procedures as defined by department protocols, demonstrating competency and proficiency in all skills required.
* Utilize independent judgment and required knowledge to obtain high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images.
* Evaluate the technical quality of images obtained and submit them to the interpreting radiologist.
* Educate patients and families about the procedure and report any changes in patient status, including initiating emergency response if necessary.
* Accurately document patient information in hospital systems.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
* Graduate of an ARDMS-approved ultrasound program.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac ultrasound, with preference for those with experience in adult, neonate, and pediatric cardiac ultrasound, stress echocardiograms, TEEs, and Intra-Operative TEE.
* BLS certification and ARDMS registration in one or more specialties, including Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to calls within 15 minutes, troubleshoot problems, and provide services off-site as needed.
