About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including preparing and positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and operating imaging systems.
  • Conduct exams on adult and pediatric patients, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Rotate shifts and assignments as needed, including holiday coverage, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain equipment and log all reported repairs, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and demonstrate customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.
  • Current BLS certification and ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn and/or Vascular upon hire.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer vascular and neuro ultrasound experience, as well as recent work experience in an acute care setting.
  • Prefer experience/training in musculoskeletal, transcranial doppler, breast, and/or vascular ultrasound.
