Operations Manager - Modernization

Thyssenkrupp Elevator is seeking an experienced Operations Manager- Modernization to lead our modernization operations in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train modernization superintendents and employees to ensure departmental profitability and annual budgetary plan success.
  • Administer company safety program, performing weekly safety audits and stressing safety importance to employees.
  • Plan, direct, and prioritize elevator modernization jobs, utilizing project management software and scheduling tools.
  • Manage jobsites from survey to completion, documenting and advising on modernization project progress.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with owners, elevator consultants, construction firms, and architects.
  • Review and sign off on bids, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.
  • Mediate and resolve complaints and problems of external and internal customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or extensive industry and management experience.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.
  • Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Salary range: $140k to $160k.
