Role Summary:
This position encompasses a variety of clerical responsibilities, primarily focused on front desk operations. You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing tasks such as greeting and registering individuals, answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Key Duties:
- Welcome and register patients, promptly informing medical personnel of their arrival.
- Confirm and update patient information, including address and insurance details.
- Utilize established protocols for referrals, coordinating appointments with specialists and arranging necessary tests.
- Process prior authorizations for medical procedures in accordance with insurance guidelines.
- Facilitate patient check-out, collecting payments and scheduling follow-up or specialty appointments as needed.
- Manage provider schedules to optimize appointment availability and confirm daily bookings.
- Contribute to the development of efficient registration systems, providing insights to enhance patient care and administrative operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare environment performing similar tasks is preferred.
- Certification: Not applicable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
