Key Duties:

  • Welcome and register patients, promptly informing medical personnel of their arrival.
  • Confirm and update patient information, including address and insurance details.
  • Utilize established protocols for referrals, coordinating appointments with specialists and arranging necessary tests.
  • Process prior authorizations for medical procedures in accordance with insurance guidelines.
  • Facilitate patient check-out, collecting payments and scheduling follow-up or specialty appointments as needed.
  • Manage provider schedules to optimize appointment availability and confirm daily bookings.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient registration systems, providing insights to enhance patient care and administrative operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare environment performing similar tasks is preferred.
  • Certification: Not applicable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
