Maintenance Operations Coordinator

Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team at The People Co.
About the Role:
- This is a senior leadership role within our maintenance department, responsible for managing and directing external contractors and ensuring compliance with our EH&S program.
- You will be responsible for planning, developing, and submitting capital project proposals, as well as managing their implementation and closure.
- A key member of our management team, you will participate in monthly meetings to review capital project budgets, schedules, and overall status.
- Additionally, you will support and coordinate planned facility maintenance shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- As a subject matter expert in quality assurance, you will develop and implement programs to ensure all work complies with applicable regulations, codes, and customer requirements.
- Providing direction to our Supply Chain Services team, you will negotiate contracts with external service providers and evaluate their performance.
- Your expertise in health, safety, environmental, and security programs will be instrumental in promoting and supporting these initiatives within the company.
- You will develop and submit regular reports to your supervisor and the General Manager, highlighting your achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Through your leadership and expertise, you will identify and communicate best practices throughout the organization, driving operational excellence.
- With a focus on predictive maintenance, you will provide direction and insight into programs for future facility development and equipment specifications.
- Evaluating and recommending critical spares inventory, you will optimize asset reliability and minimize downtime.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in food/agri-business facility maintenance and/or construction, including bulk material handling systems
- 3+ years of supervisory experience, with a strong background in industrial trades and business management
- Demonstrated experience in reading building plans, developing contracts with external service providers, and managing complex projects
- Computer-competent with experience in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software
