Customer Service Representative

The Customer Care Adjuster is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to insured, claimants, producers/agents, and FNOL intake, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of Property loss claims. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing world-class customer service to internal and external customers
- Evaluating, documenting, and organizing claim records to support payment
- Conducting thorough investigations of coverage, liability, and damages, and maintaining supporting evidence for payment or denial
- Collaborating with vehicle repair shops to ensure accurate repairs and supplement requests
- Managing rental vehicle and towing processes for claims
- Auditing repair estimates for accuracy
- Negotiating claims to fair resolutions
- Managing costs associated with claims
- Understanding compliance with the Utah Unfair Claim Practices Act
Qualifications for this position include:
- College degree or equivalent experience
Required knowledge includes:
- Understanding of policy coverage and interpretation
- Understanding of the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) intake process
- Working knowledge of auto/property damage estimating
- Knowledge of computer-related applications
- Understanding of the Utah Unfair Claim Practices Act
- Experience required:
- 1-2 years of claims handling experience
- 1 year of prior property claims handling experience
- 1 year of contact center customer service experience
- Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and public relations skills
- Well-organized and attentive to detail
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts amicably
