Position Overview:
William C Brown Inc is seeking a dedicated Cloud Solutions Architect to enhance our team and support various intelligence initiatives. This role involves collaboration with a dynamic development team to automate service deployments, enhance system performance, and integrate with enterprise authentication systems. The successful candidate will also focus on system monitoring, adherence to security protocols, and providing technical support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions utilizing RedHat OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with the A&A Team to uphold security standards for system operations.
  • Enhance and sustain existing infrastructure, including autoscaling, service support, and cost optimization.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for all processes.
  • Manage systems within AWS environments, leveraging EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS.
  • Oversee VMware vSphere environments, utilizing NSX and NetApp StorageGRID.
  • Automate and streamline service deployment processes.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with eligibility for CI Polygraph.
  • Experience in building and maintaining PaaS offerings through cloud service providers.
  • Strong proficiency in RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions.
  • In-depth knowledge of RedHat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes distributions.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker.
  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficiency in automating tasks using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps processes and Continuous Integration tools, including GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing production RedHat OpenShift clusters.
  • Understanding of cloud APIs and AWS/CLI interactions.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Terraform.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development.

Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
  • RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator.

Education and Experience:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. A minimum of 3 years in IT and experience with PaaS offerings is required.

Location:
This position is based on-site and requires US Citizenship.
