Position Summary

The City Desk Sales Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers visiting the City Desk. This role requires a commitment to providing knowledgeable assistance and a strong customer-centric approach to meet the diverse needs of our clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support customers in locating and acquiring necessary parts with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers through in-person interactions.
  • Deliver precise information regarding parts to customers.
  • Ensure timely entry and processing of customer orders.
  • Maintain the City Desk area in accordance with company, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and/or heating systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
Physical Requirements
  • Employees must be able to meet the physical demands necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs may be required.
  • Regular use of arms, hands, and fingers for tasks such as typing and reaching.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing are necessary.
Work Environment
  • The work atmosphere is warehouse-based, with potential exposure to moving machinery, vibrations, fumes, and airborne particles. Noise levels can vary from moderate to occasionally loud.
