Customer Engagement:

  • Execute all sales and administrative tasks at the sales counter as required.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and lead the team by example.

  • Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain an organized and well-merchandised sales floor by implementing corporate and local directives.

Financial Management:

  • Drive sales and profitability to surpass budget expectations.
  • Comprehend the factors influencing financial performance and remain accountable for achieving company goals.
  • Manage costs and payroll scheduling to align with CNRG's productivity and service objectives.

Inventory Oversight:

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory movements to prevent shrinkage.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demands while adhering to investment goals.
  • Keep inventory organized and in compliance with company standards.
  • Supervise the accurate receipt and storage of merchandise by warehouse and yard staff.

Safety and Security:

  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure a secure working environment.
  • Possess a strong understanding of security measures and guide employees on loss prevention techniques.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe and well-maintained.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings with staff.
  • Protect inventory from loss and theft through proper management practices.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, select, and train key personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure all associates have access to necessary resources for their roles.
  • Publish work schedules promptly and accurately record hours worked.
  • Create a positive work atmosphere that encourages motivation and productivity.
  • Maintain an open-door policy for associates to voice concerns and suggestions.

Communication:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and report any irregularities.
  • Regularly check communications from management and respond in a timely manner.
  • Lead monthly meetings to discuss performance, goals, and safety.
  • Utilize the Resource Center for access to essential information and reporting.
  • Provide feedback on performance and suggest improvements for operations.

Coaching and Training:

  • Foster a motivating work environment that promotes high productivity.
  • Set performance goals and provide constructive feedback.
  • Mentor store and yard employees, preparing them for future advancement.
  • Direct associates to training resources available through the Resource Center.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary by the supervisor or qualified corporate representative.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be detail-oriented. The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential, along with flexibility in scheduling. Candidates should have a solid understanding of retail operations and building materials, with previous retail experience preferred. Physical capabilities to manage inventory and perform tasks, including lifting and climbing, are required.
