Job Responsibilities
  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities designed to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment by supervising children at all times, preparing materials, and assisting with housekeeping tasks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families through regular communication, collaborative goal-setting, and participation in parent-teacher conferences.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service days to stay updated on best practices, policies, and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of a Washington State Initial ECE Certificate or be working towards your degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching young children, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted, bend, stand, climb, and walk.
