Job Summary

Covenant Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registration Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and registration of patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Coordinate the registration and scheduling of patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Verification and Pre-Certification: Verify patient insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification from third-party payers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and other hospital staff, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Data Entry and Management: Accurately enter and manage patient data, including demographic, medical, and financial information, using our computerized systems.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the registration and scheduling process, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with clinical and care management areas to address opportunities to improve overall collections and cash flow.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital or financial setting, or three years of customer-facing experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, proficiency in computer systems, including Excel and Cerner.
