Job Summary

Covenant Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist, Admitting to join our team. As a Patient Registration Specialist, Admitting, you will be responsible for coordinating the registration process for patients admitted to our facility, ensuring accurate and timely collection of demographic and financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and financial information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process patient registrations, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining pre-certification as needed.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide information and answer questions regarding the registration process.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient registration process.
Requirements

To be successful as a Patient Registration Specialist, Admitting, you will need:

  • One year of experience in a hospital or financial setting, or a minimum of three years of total customer-facing/customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills, with experience using electronic medical records and registration systems.
