Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and analyzing complex structural systems, a strong understanding of building codes and standards, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Design and Analysis:
    • Lead the structural design and analysis for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
    • Utilize advanced software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and finite element analysis (FEA) programs to develop and analyze structural designs.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee and manage multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and comprehensive project execution.
    • Prepare and review project documents, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
    • Conduct peer reviews of designs and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into project work.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and addressing project-related inquiries.
    • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Quality Assurance and Control:
    • Implement and oversee quality control and assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet high standards.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction compliance with design specifications and identify potential issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in structural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and FEA programs.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
  • LEED accreditation or other sustainability credentials is a plus.
