Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for implementing engineering projects, including construction documents, coordination with other disciplines, permitting, bidding, and construction administration in accordance with client requirements and code.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high-quality assurance on construction documents, specifications, and RFI responses.
  • Complete project requirements as a Project Engineer.
  • Research and develop the latest design in coordination with vendors, senior engineers, and online resources.
  • Have excellent knowledge of discipline-specific codes and other building codes.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide good leadership skills to educate clients on design and project requirements.
  • Meet with the Project Architect and Project Manager to discuss design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues.
  • Estimate discipline man-hours required to complete design requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for projects or series of projects with clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines.
  • Oversee the design and production of engineering construction documents and specifications.
  • Maintain client standards.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Provide ongoing quality control throughout the project.
  • Obtain and perform peer review of documents.
  • Oversee project budgets and complete designated scope of work within allotted time.
  • Communicate owner revisions and RFI's.
  • Assist in representing client interests at public hearings and meetings.
  • Provide customer service to clients to maintain relationships.
  • Mentor and train engineering designers to produce high-quality construction documents within budget.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of work experience as a licensed engineer.
  • Engineer of Record in several states.
