Job Summary/Description:

PowerNation Studios in Franklin, TN is seeking a qualified Automotive Builder and Fabrication Specialist. This is a full-time position that comes with company benefits.

Applicants should possess demonstrated skills in vehicle project planning, design, mechanics, and fabrication, with a preference for experience in off-road and 4x4 vehicles.

The role involves collaborating with the Show Producer to develop project concepts and editorial content for the shows, executing the necessary work for project construction, sourcing all required parts for each production shoot, and working alongside other team members to fulfill editorial commitments.

The position also entails on-camera appearances in shows or other productions.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Producer and other assigned staff on project planning.
  • Assist the Director/Producer in scripting all episodes, ensuring technical accuracy and suitability for television production.
  • Facilitate the delivery of project vehicles needed for the show or project.
  • Perform mechanical and fabrication tasks essential for project development and testing, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Procure necessary parts for all projects as requested, ensuring correctness and compatibility prior to filming.
  • Utilize PowerNation's parts ordering system and maintain detailed records of project vehicles and parts.
  • Coordinate with the Producer to ensure project readiness and preparedness for production days.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of safe equipment operations within the assigned studio.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure editorial agreements are met, following guidance from the Technical Editor and Producer.
  • Assist the Producer in upholding a safe and organized work environment, ensuring cleanliness and proper tool placement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Some college education or technical school experience; relevant technical certifications preferred.
  • Experience in automotive mechanical work and fabrication.
  • Strong on-screen presence and vocal clarity.
  • Ability to conceptualize projects and show content based on the Producer's editorial direction.
  • Creativity and discretion in presenting required editorial content.
  • Capability to engage with industry vendors for parts procurement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Producers, Directors, Technical Producers, Videographers, and Sales Executives to showcase customer products effectively.
  • Clear communication skills for on-screen presentations.
