Job Title: Senior Windows Desktop Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Windows Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Stratum Networks, Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing third-level support for Windows desktop issues, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software problems, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Windows desktop systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support for Windows desktop systems, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and performance of Windows desktop systems, including applying patches, updates, and configuration changes.
  • Manage and resolve high-priority incidents and problems within SLAs, documenting resolutions and creating knowledge base articles to improve future support processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on projects, providing expertise on Windows desktop environments, and assist in the design and implementation of new technologies and solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff, and assist end-users with complex technical issues and provide advanced troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex issues, proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network configurations, and Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11) and related technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with endpoint security solutions, scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell), system imaging, deployment, and management tools (SCCM, MDT), and cloud services and integration (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices, strong documentation and organizational skills, and strong understanding of hardware components, peripheral devices, and drivers.
