Senior Director of Film & Flexible Material Recovery

Location: Remote; Available across the Continental US

Reports to: Vice President of Materials Advancement

Position: Full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt role

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Director of Film and Flexible Material Recovery is tasked with overseeing the Film and Flexible Recycling Coalition along with associated projects aimed at enhancing the recovery of film and flexible materials within the residential recycling framework.

This role is integral to the Materials Advancement division, concentrating on the national recycling infrastructure and the integration of regional strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, refine, and implement strategies for the recovery of film and flexible materials

  • Conduct and manage research with defined objectives
  • Oversee data management processes
  • Facilitate Coalition meetings and related work stream discussions

Collaborate with the team to foster relationships with grantees and processors

  • Ensure alignment and effective communication with project stakeholders

Engage cross-departmentally with essential teams

  • Support communication initiatives related to the Coalition's projects

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Expertise in recycling, particularly in film and flexible materials
  • Familiarity with local recycling programs and corporate sustainability practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities
  • Capacity to prioritize effectively and engage various stakeholders
