Role Description
We are in search of qualified Civil Engineers specializing in Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure. This pivotal role involves the preparation and upkeep of the physical frameworks necessary for electric vehicle charging stations. Candidates should possess a strong background in concrete and asphalt applications, including site demolition, foundation construction, and the development of ramps, sidewalks, and other essential structures. We welcome applicants at all experience levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute safe and efficient demolition of existing concrete and asphalt to ready sites for new installations.
- Construct and finish concrete foundations for electrical apparatus, charging stations, ramps, and sidewalks, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and local regulations.
- Prepare installation sites by leveling, grading, and compacting soil to support new structures.
- Construct and repair concrete ramps, sidewalks, and other infrastructure components necessary for EV charging stations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure the seamless integration of civil work with electrical installations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including any challenges faced and solutions implemented. Complete necessary reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in civil engineering preferred.
- Experience in concrete and asphalt work, particularly for electrical installations.
- Proficient in the use of construction tools and equipment; strong understanding of safety practices.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team, with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and varying weather.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or be on-call as project demands dictate.
- Willingness to travel to job sites, including potential overnight stays.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $21/hr - $41/hr.
