Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the Santa Ana/Irvine, CA office. As a key member of our design team, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for transportation projects, including traffic signals, lighting systems, and ITS elements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering support for preparing and reviewing plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic signal systems, highway lighting systems, and other electrical infrastructure.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with fellow designers and engineers to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Assist in all project phases, from conceptual design to final delivery, and provide design recommendations or design innovation as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence and reports, and investigate problems in transportation electrical systems to provide effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (EIT or PE is a plus).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical design for transportation projects, preferably with Caltrans.
  • Working knowledge of CADD software, such as Micro-Station or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to use traffic analysis software and visual lighting analysis software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.

Compensation

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Discretionary bonus program available for eligible employees.
