Project Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for analyzing and preparing complete boundary surveys, performing quality control reviews, and providing accurate computations for layout and design.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and prepare complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reason for accurate property line location.
- Perform quality control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents prepared by others for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide accurate computations for the layout of subdivisions, roads, and lots as well as buildings and utilities.
- Provide assistance to staff in the preparation of reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents.
- Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff required to complete design, field, and/or other tasks on more complex projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans.
- Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives.
- Monitor the work efforts of assigned staff, including sub-consultants and/or contractors.
- May supervise assignments given to the Survey Technician(s).
- Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
- 5+ years of related surveying experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, TBC (Trimble Business Center), and MicroStation.
- Proficient in various data techniques and coding systems.
- Advanced knowledge of various surveying instruments, techniques, and computations.
- Advanced understanding of angular and linear measurement systems.
- Advanced knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
- Valid driver's license required and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
