Job Summary

Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) contracts to provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to venues and facilities within Washington DC. The purpose of this position is to help fulfill these contracts. The position will provide Basic Life Support within the EMT scope of practice to include medical evaluation, treatment, stabilization, and transfer of care to the sick and injured.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency medical situations involving all types of emergencies, potential loss of life or bodily injury
  • Maintain (self or scene) control, manage and direct patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency
  • Provide training and instruction to lesser trained personnel
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • Current and valid nationally recognized certification as an EMT
  • Current and valid CPR certification for Healthcare Providers
  • A minimum of 1 year of EMT experience
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, reach, and walk for long periods of time in a field setting
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. as part of the role
  • Regularly exposed to healthcare settings that may require personal protective equipment
