Job Description Summary

The Clinical Specialist is a key resource for executing the Medication Delivery Solutions value-added clinical business strategy. This role implements clinical programs and initiatives that differentiate the MDS product portfolio based on improved clinical outcomes and process enhancements, resulting in a lower cost-in-use.

The expertise and credentials of the Clinical Specialist enhance the credibility of recommendations to customers and strengthen customer service and support. This support is achieved through recommending best practices and facilitating education. The Clinical Specialist actively engages in conversion management, product implementation, and training of Medication Delivery Solutions products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages responsibilities within the allotted T&E expense budget.
  • Provides updates monthly to the Clinical Manager on regional training activities and support provided in the region.
  • Facilitates customer training classes in support of conversion or retention for key customers.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Team to clinically support customer engagements from pre-sale through post-conversion.
  • Develops strong, working relationships with end-users while providing product in-servicing and clinical education.
  • Provides routine follow-up support to customers at end-user locations as needed.
  • Conducts regional training for contractual nursing support as needed.
  • Works with the Clinical Manager and Regional Business Manager to ensure scheduling and activities produce the greatest return on investment.
  • Conducts VAM assessments supporting both Hazardous Drug Safety and Vascular Care sales bags.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's degree (BSN preferred).
  • Five (5) years of general clinical experience, including three (3) years' experience with Oncology nursing and Intravenous Chemotherapy Administration.
  • CRNI or VA-BC certification recommended.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Strong communicator with effective verbal and written skills.
  • Proven training skills to conduct educational courses.
  • Possesses strong understanding and knowledge of infusion therapy, vascular access, and key disease states served by MDS products.
