About the Role:

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a skilled Radiation Dosimetrist PRN to join our team. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of patient treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement patient treatment plans using advanced computer software and manual techniques.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to ensure the accuracy of patient information and dose calculations.
  • Assist radiation therapists with patient setup procedures at treatment machines and/or simulators as needed.
  • Monitor and adhere to general radiation safety guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) or eligible after completion of JRCERT accredited program in Medical Dosimetry.
