About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Dosimetrist PRN to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of patient treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement patient treatment plans using advanced computer software and manual techniques.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to ensure the accuracy of patient information and dose calculations.
  • Consult with radiation therapy staff to assess and improve patient treatments and/or set-up techniques.
  • Monitor and adhere to general radiation safety guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement processes as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) or eligibility after completion of a JRCERT-accredited program in Medical Dosimetry.
