Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team in a dermatology setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting, with experience in a dermatology or skin care setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, including preparing patients for exams and treatments, recording medical history and vital statistics, and administering medications as directed by a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Prepare patients for exams and treatments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
    • Administer medications as directed by a physician, following safety protocols
    • Explain treatment procedures and medications to patients, ensuring they understand their care plan
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Record patient information and medical history in electronic medical records
    • Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical equipment
    • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
    • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring patients feel valued and respected
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in dermatology or skin care
    • High level of emotional and professional maturity, with strong interpersonal skills
