Job Overview

Position: Emergency Medical Technician - EMT / Safety Officer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shifts Available:

  • 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, five days a week with days off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
  • 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, five days a week with days off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
  • 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with required work on Fridays and Saturdays.

Compensation: Starting at $23.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour for NOC shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to all emergency situations within the community, adhering to established First Responder protocols and safety procedures.
  • Assist the Safety Director in conducting random mock drills and training sessions to ensure staff readiness for emergencies.
  • Conduct scheduled rounds throughout the community to ensure a secure environment for residents, staff, and property, always equipped with a medical bag/A.E.D.
  • Greet and assist all individuals entering the community at the Safety Kiosk, providing information and guidance to maintain a positive community image.
  • Perform daily door monitoring checks, maintain emergency equipment and supplies, ensure compliance with safety policies, and report any discrepancies to the Safety Director.

Maintain regular communication with other safety personnel throughout the shift.

The EMT Safety Officer is expected to exemplify outstanding customer service and hospitality, addressing and documenting any customer concerns in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California State EMT Certification.
  • Current CPR certification with AED training.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in English, with strong reading and writing skills.
