Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our Optical Services team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care experiences and assisting our team in growing the number of exams delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of efficient and comprehensive tele-optometry exams
  • Provide exceptional patient care experiences
  • Assist in scheduling eye exam appointments and entering patient information and history into systems
  • Obtain patient medical history and conduct eye health tests
  • Assist in facilitating interaction between patients, technicians, and doctors via live video conferencing
  • Communicate doctor recommendations to opticians
  • Meet or exceed patient expectations
  • Work in partnership with optical team members to facilitate exam bookings and eyewear sales
  • Match eyewear solutions to patient needs and transition patients from exam to product selection
  • Deliver sales and metric goals by educating patients on the benefits of available products

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience delivering outstanding customer service in a retail, restaurant, optical, or medical environment
  • Strong verbal communication skills and engaging personality to communicate with a diverse patient base
  • Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and an attention to detail required

Working Conditions

  • Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces
  • Frequently requires lifting objects up to 20 pounds
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area with frequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises
