Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grant Administrator to join our team at Mass General Brigham. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the Radiology Research Department with high-level financial and administrative expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct financial and administrative support to the Radiology Research Department, overseeing all administrative and fiscal aspects of sponsored research projects.
  • Work closely with multiple Principal Investigators to support the grant proposal and reporting process throughout all stages of the grant life cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all BWH, MGB, and sponsor guidelines, regulatory and administrative requirements for all lab members in assigned portfolio.
  • Manage sundry accounts and research finances, reporting to the Director of Radiology Research Finance on financial and strategic issues.
  • Support the grant proposal and reporting process, preparing and assisting with grant application submissions, including reading and understanding sponsor guidelines, completing sponsor forms, and preparing budgets.
  • Maintain familiarity with sponsor and MGB Research Management policies and procedures, as well as working knowledge of federal Human Subjects System and Clinical Trials.gov.
  • Update new account files upon receipt of grant and/or contract award notification, reviewing and comparing requested budget with the awarded budget, and informing Principal Investigators of any variations, special terms, and/or conditions of award.
  • Reconcile monthly balance reports, review monthly Insight reports for adequacy and accuracy, and update internal account tracking systems and reconcile with Insight on a monthly basis for all assigned funds.
  • Identify and resolve any problems or discrepancies in cost control and cost allocation, reviewing all expenses for compliance purposes, and ensuring that entries are posted to appropriate accounts.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic research grants administration, preferably with at least 2 years of direct Research Administration at BWH.
  • Extensive knowledge of grants and contracts, research administration, and Medical School and Hospital activities.
  • B.S. degree in Accounting or Management, with a Master's degree preferred.
