We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide essential support to our Director of HR. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5+ years of relevant progressive experience in human resources and a strong understanding of HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in leading the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting background/reference checks as needed. Collaborate with hiring supervisors to identify staffing needs and create tailored recruitment strategies. Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Employee Relations: Assist the Director of HR by serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns regarding HR-related issues. Handle employee inquiries, complaints, and grievances in a timely and confidential manner. Facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
- Performance Management: Support the performance management process by providing guidance to supervisors on goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and assist in developing training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Coordinate training sessions/workshops and track completion to evaluate effectiveness.
- Workers' Compensation Management: Coordinate the administration of workers' compensation claims, acting as the primary liaison between employees, management, and insurance/healthcare providers. Maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with relevant laws, and assist in developing policies to promote workplace safety.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate HR records and files. Prepare reports and assist with audits and investigations.
- HR Policy Implementation: Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on HR policies and procedures.
- HR Administration: Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks as needed. Assist in generating reports and analyzing HR data to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- At least 3-5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and HR generalist responsibilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR principles, best practices, employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
