Position Summary:
As a Facilities Engineering Support professional at Caterpillar Inc., you will play a crucial role in assisting Facilities Engineering and Maintenance on our Facility Campus. Your responsibilities will include design and documentation of layouts, vendor management, project oversight, handling systems, safety protocols, ergonomics, and other assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive facilities support to various locations, addressing equipment repairs, janitorial issues, office enhancements, project management, and preventive maintenance of production machinery.
- Develop detailed Scopes of Work outlining processing steps, component specifications, and facility improvement initiatives.
- Update standard work schedules and assembly procedures based on engineering feedback.
- Create necessary documentation for capital projects while managing both capital and expense budgets.
- Implement Caterpillar Production System principles, including 5S, Continuous Improvement, Waste Reduction, and Standard Work.
- Utilize independent decision-making and problem-solving skills to fulfill job requirements.
- Meet deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using engineering prints and release notices.
- Design layouts using CAD systems and determine material placements.
- Employ systems such as CAD, SAP, and Team Center for project execution.
- Communicate cross-functionally to achieve objectives.
- Summarize findings and updates for leadership.
- Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts and aerial lifts as required.

Basic Qualifications:
- 12 months of experience in Facility Maintenance, Mechanical, or Assembly roles.
- Project Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and/or AutoCAD.
- Technical degree or relevant certification.
- Experience in Operations, Industrial, Maintenance, or Planning.
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems and Caterpillar software, including Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication skills and analytical abilities.
- Problem identification and resolution capabilities.
- Good interpersonal skills and computer literacy.
- Strong mathematical foundation.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Information:
- Shift: 1st
- Hours: 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Thursday, Fridays as needed)
- Overtime may be required for maintenance and project tasks.
