Job Title: Branch Manager

At Restaurant Depot, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our warehouse operations and ensure the efficient management of our branches.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring timely and accurate management of all warehouse activities.
  2. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety protocols, personnel management, and inventory control.
  4. Review financial and operational reports to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary actions.
  5. Direct subordinates to ensure the timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
  6. Define and communicate the service standards and operational mission of the branch to employees and monitor activities to meet goals.
  7. Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper scheduling of the workforce while meeting budgetary guidelines.
  8. Manage the selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all management-level personnel.
  9. Directly supervise and manage assistant branch managers and department managers.
  10. Coach managers on employee relation issues, including new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions.
  11. Maintain communication with corporate offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  12. Review inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and in-house availability.
  13. Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  2. Minimum 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  3. Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front-end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
  4. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  6. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.

Work Environment:

  1. The ambient temperature will be moderate, with areas that are cold (freezer) and hot (damages area).
  2. The work is mostly performed standing/walking, with the ability to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  3. Physical labor is infrequent, but there may be times when merchandise needs to be moved or an area cleaned.
  4. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) will be moving material throughout the warehouse.
