The OpportunityThis position is part of our Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business, where we are working to address some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges. As a VAD Clinical Specialist, you will have the chance to work with hospitals and account executives to promote our remote patient monitoring services and digital platform through clinical and workflow discussions.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and implementation of digital solutions to hospitals and clinics.
- Provide clinical peer-to-peer consulting services through workflow analysis and value mapping to new and existing accounts identified by the sales team.
- Support the implementation of data management tools in collaboration with the sales team.
- Provide onsite support for VADWatch go-lives and ongoing training support to clinical staff as needed.
- Provide ongoing clinical support and education to sales team members.
- Participate in key meetings with customer decision makers to review the plan of action to promote growth of our digital solutions.
- Support the development of corporate partners' products and services.
- Participate in high-level sales training and strategy.
- Consult and contribute to new product and service development.
- May assist in gathering evidence for clinical studies.
- Stay up-to-date on new developments, approaches, drugs, or information related to core business and disseminate that information to relevant departments.
- RN with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Minimum of five years of nursing experience.
- Anticoagulation, heart failure, cardiac device, or nursing education background preferred.
- Continued self-improvement courses and seminars related to the position.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and strong analytical skills.
- Intermediate computer and software skills.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Leadership and human relationship skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50-75% within the geographic area.
