Position Overview:


The Civil Construction Project Leader is responsible for delivering proactive leadership throughout assigned construction projects, guiding them from the preconstruction and bidding phases through planning, execution, close-out, and warranty.

This role is accountable for ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining project quality, controlling costs, and adhering to schedules, while collaborating closely with Project Superintendents and Project Engineers.

Upholding corporate policies and procedures, this position exemplifies ethical standards and corporate values, emphasizing integrity and service.


Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Nabholz in business development initiatives, engaging actively in community and industry organizations, project interviews, and company events.

- Lead project development during the Preconstruction phase with support from the Preconstruction Department.

- Develop comprehensive project management plans, including safety, quality, and site logistics plans, with assistance from the Project Team.

- Manage commitments to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and contract terms.


- Collaborate with the Project Team and safety personnel to ensure safe project execution, aiming for zero jobsite incidents.


- Oversee all financial aspects of the project, from setup to monthly billings, forecasting, and final closeout, ensuring profitability goals are met.

- Maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients and designers.

- Provide leadership to the team, both internally and externally.

- Actively promote safe project execution, targeting zero jobsite incidents.

- Anticipate construction flow to facilitate proactive project planning.

- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasting final costs monthly or more frequently.

- Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks daily.

- This position is safety-sensitive concerning medical marijuana usage.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy/Civil commercial construction is required.

- Proficient understanding of Heavy/Civil commercial construction methods, materials, and regulations is essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

- Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups during project interviews and presentations.

- OSHA 30-hour training is required.

Scheduling Software:

General Software Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Physical Requirements:
- Travel may be required for projects or corporate responsibilities.

- Ability to sit, stand, or walk continuously.

- Capable of bending, squatting, climbing stairs, or ladders.

- Frequent lifting of 20 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:
- Office, cubicle, or workstation settings.

- Job trailer or jobsite office environments.

- Active project sites for site inspections.
