Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to implement advanced network communications and cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Design and develop network infrastructure services, including firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches.
  • Implement firewall policies and perform break-fix actions, including on-site work as needed.
  • Upgrade and maintain network device software for compliance and vulnerabilities.
  • Sustain ISA networking architecture and manage data center hardware.
  • Monitor network status and respond to issues using network monitoring and performance tools.
  • Develop high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverables.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active/current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • DHS Suitability
  • Ability to work first shift schedule
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Ability to support on-site work (hybrid schedule)
  • 8+ years of professional networking experience
  • TCP/IP networking, VPN encryption, firewalls, and SNMP-based network management experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience in Layer 2 functionality and protocol in a Cisco/Juniper environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting and implementing Layer 3 routing protocols over a multi-site environment in a Cisco/Juniper environment
  • Strong knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC VPN and firewall architecture
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols
  • Experience using network monitoring and automation tools for troubleshooting and task simplification
  • Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and associated mitigation techniques
  • Experience troubleshooting and implementing VPN technologies
  • Experience implementing firewall base policies using Juniper firewalls
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure networking and connectivity to on-prem environments
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience. A PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience. Ten (10) years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Benefits:

Nightwing offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 - $221,000, depending on experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
