Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Apollo Professional Solutions. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for spearheading or assisting requirements development and management, developing and directing subsystem and component performance specifications, and supporting requirements decomposition analysis to drive concept architectures and system characteristics.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance and supporting artifacts
* Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components
* Drive development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components
* Document concept design selections and generate System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments
* Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6+ year's relevant experience
* Systems Engineer experience performing requirements evaluation, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints
* Knowledge of how to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns
* Knowledge of how to plan, conduct and document complex trade studies
* Excellent oral and written communication know-how

Preferred Skills:

* Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases
* Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo
* Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
* Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
* INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
