About the Role

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our Lilly Research Laboratories (LRL) Learning and Development team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving strategic direction for our business functions, enhancing organizational capabilities, and ensuring alignment between our learning strategy, curriculum architecture, and implementation of our learning portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning and Performance Support
    • Partner with LRL senior leadership and business partners to build and leverage relationships, effectively influence strategic learning solutions, and ensure budget requirements are included in the business plan.
    • Anticipate and resolve complex problems, and develop innovative deliverables that provide meaningful and learner-centric solutions.
  • Strategy Development and Execution
    • Develop and execute comprehensive performance strategies to address short- and long-term large-scale solutions that support business objectives.
    • Work in partnership with L&D leadership to scope and prioritize strategic and/or special projects.
  • Learning Solution Analysis and Development
    • Conduct needs and target audience analysis to identify learning and performance gaps, and develop effective project management to ensure timely delivery of the performance solution.
    • Partner with Lilly select suppliers and manage procurement activities, as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education, instructional design, performance technology, or related programs.
  • 5 years of experience in proactive strategic learning, capability development consultation, performance consulting, instructional design, and program/portfolio management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. degree in Instructional Systems Technology, Adult Learning, or related experience/education.
  • Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Certification.
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience in a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of Global Patient Safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability in communication, conflict resolution, using good judgment, and managing complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a collaborative environment and build trust with internal and external business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope and lead learning projects.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing without authority.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve business and organizational problems.
  • Proven proficiency in utilizing Microsoft 365 applications and A-I applications.
