Job Opportunity

Century Group is partnering with a client seeking a Staff Accountant to support their accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries and month-end closing activities.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights for decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for audit processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a CPG Industry.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software's (NetSuite).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
