Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance programs for AI, data governance, and privacy.
  • Consult with business partners on emerging regulations covering artificial intelligence, algorithmic transparency, and privacy.
  • Stay up-to-date on new legal developments in AI, data governance, and privacy.
  • Partner with other members of the legal team on AI and data governance related matters, such as drafting guidelines and developing training materials.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in specific regulatory areas, such as the forthcoming U.S. federal agency regulations and the EU AI Act.
Requirements
  • J.D. degree with a strong academic record.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Subject matter expertise in artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, or cybersecurity.
  • A license to practice law in California.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, including writing, presentation, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.

  • Experience in the high-tech industry and familiarity with computer systems, architectures, programming, or Artificial Intelligence.
  • A history of writing or public presentations on complex legal material.
  • A passion for continuous learning, innovation, and technology.
Benefits
  • A competitive base salary range of $144,000 - $224,250 USD.
