Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist/Social Worker to join our Inpatient Behavioral Health unit at Overlake Medical Center. As a key member of our psychiatric treatment team, you will provide individualized direct care to patients and help them meet their treatment goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients in our Inpatient Behavioral Health unit
  • Work under the direction of the Charge Nurse to help patients meet their treatment goals
  • Assess and care plan skills, broad knowledge of community resources, medical terminology, hospital systems, insurance guidelines, financial issues, and risk management issues
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
  • Understanding of the issues involved in documentation and continual quality improvement process of patient care in the hospital setting
Qualifications
  • Active WA state NA-R or NA-C prior to start date
  • Healthcare provider CPR Certification required
  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor (CG) or Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification (CP) within 6-months of hire required
  • Inpatient acute psychiatric experience preferred
