HERO House NW is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Professional to join our team as a Rehabilitation Associate. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from serious mental illness.

Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Associate will provide mental health rehabilitation services to adults in a clubhouse model program. This is a professional level direct service position that requires a strong understanding of mental health principles and a passion for supporting individuals in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive and supportive relationship with members, promoting hope, empowerment, and recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with members in program areas such as work-ordered day, social/recreational, education, employment, and advocacy.
  • Facilitate assigned tasks and projects, maximizing members' skills, talents, engagement, and leadership.
  • Ensure that performance of job duties reflects and promotes the Standards for Clubhouse Model of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
  • Train, job coach, and work with members at their place of employment.
  • Provide education and resources to support self-management, self-determination, self-advocacy, and shared-health-care decision making.
  • Assist with identifying and linking to community-based services and supports.
  • Provide and model advocacy to ensure access to services for members.
Requirements
  • Washington State Driver's License
  • Clean criminal history background check
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, Access
  • Prefer experience working with adults living with mental illness
  • Prefer training in Trauma Informed Care
  • WA State Registered Counselor or ability to become one
